Soliant is seeking a dedicated and qualified Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) in or near Blaine, WA for the upcoming  school year.

Candidates residing in British Columbia are encouraged to apply due to the position's proximity to the U.S.

-Canada border. Applicants must have a valid U.S. work visa or be in the process of obtaining one that will be active by or shortly after the start of the school year.

Caseload Information

• Middle School Setting
• Provide interpreting services to ensure access to classroom instruction and school-related activities

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, staff, and peers
• Provide accurate sign language interpretation in educational settings
• Support student access to academic instruction and school activities
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in accordance with school and district guidelines

Qualifications

• Active Sign Language Interpreter credentials as required by state and district regulations
• Previous school-based experience preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families
• Candidates from British Columbia must have a valid U.S. work visa or documentation showing their work authorization process is expected to be completed by or shortly after August 2026
