Mills Electric is a full-service electrical contractor serving industrial, commercial, and refinery clients across the Northwest. We are seeking an Electrical Project Management Assistant to work on-site in our Bellingham headquarters, supporting our Project Managers on commercial and industrial electrical projects.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, organization, fast-paced project environments, and supporting both office and field teams with operational excellence.

The Electrical Project Management Assistant supports project coordination, documentation, and communication. You will help ensure projects run smoothly by managing documentation, tracking project details, and working closely with PMs, foremen, vendors, and clients.

• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination
• Track RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
• Review and mark up drawings using Bluebeam
• Maintain organized digital and physical project files
• Assist with procurement, vendor communication, and material tracking
• Support labor tracking, cost updates, and reporting
• Help prepare change order documentation
• Attend project meetings and capture notes/action items
• Support closeout documentation and lessons-learned files
• Provide general administrative and project support as needed

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Teams, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative office environment
• Reliable transportation to the Bellingham office

• Experience in the construction or electrical contracting industry
• Basic understanding of electrical or construction drawings
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar project management tools
• Prior experience supporting Project Managers or working in project coordination

Wage Range: $25.00 – $38.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

This is a non-exempt position and eligible for overtime according to Washington State wage and hour laws.
