Overview
We are seeking a self-driven and collaborative Scheduler & Cost Analyst to join our team. This position is based onsite at a refinery in Blaine, WA, reporting into our Project Controls department. This role combines expertise in project scheduling and project cost controlling for small and medium capital projects within an overall program. The successful candidate will coordinate with project teams and clients to develop accurate project schedules and monitor progress with the ability to provide actionable insights to ensure successful project execution.

Compensation: $120,000 to $150,000. Anticipated annual salary may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications, and internal peer equity. The pay range listed for this position is based on the anticipated base compensation at the time of the posting. This is a full-time position which offers competitive compensation and benefits package with a 401K match.
Key Responsibilities- Scheduling
:
Develop and maintain fully resourced, logic-linked project schedules using Primavera P6; coordinate Interactive Planning (IAP) sessions to establish baseline schedules; monitor project progress, report milestones, and analyze schedule performance against baselines; identify and communicate critical path risks, providing early warnings and recovery plans; prepare KPI reports, S-curves, and histograms for management; lead schedule risk analysis workshops and ensure adherence to client standards. - Cost Analyst
:
Create reports pertaining to budget, forecasts, productivity, manpower, cashflow and man-hours on all projects and provide insights to project management on trends, including tracking contracts and change orders during engineering, procurement and construction; assist Project Managers in preparation of monthly project control reports; participate in meetings and provide analysis of ongoing project costs and progress measurement and performance; provide periodic summary reports, graphs, progress and manpower projections;
prepare comparisons and evaluations associated with project estimates, forecasts, cost trends and schedules pertaining to budgets, productivity, manpower loadings and other operational data parameters; maintain data for proposals pertaining to cost effort and requirements; requires general review by more senior staff on some aspects of work. - Integrated Responsibilities

Act as the focal point for project managers, clients, subcontractors, and procurement teams for both scheduling and cost matters; support change management processes and ensure compliance with client-specific guidelines; host project controls meetings covering schedule, progress, and cost; capture lessons learned and promote continuous improvement across scheduling and cost functions.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (PSP, PMP, AACEi) preferred. - Experience:
Minimum 8+ years in scheduling and/or cost controls within the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in a senior role. - Technical
Skills: - Scheduling:
Proficiency in Primavera P6. - Cost:
Advanced Excel skills and history of using earned value. - Strong knowledge of engineering deliverables, procurement, permitting, construction, commissioning, and stage-gate approvals.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills with ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to travel to nearby refinery sites as needed.
- Compliance with safety training, TWIC certification, and drug/alcohol testing.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Prior field-based experience highly preferred.
This role may require all or some of the following requirements at time of hire or during employment:
- RSO Safety Training and current card or ability to obtain.
- Client Safety Training and current badge or ability to obtain.
- TWIC Certification and current card or ability to obtain.
- Background screening including previous employment, education, criminal history, and driving record verification.
- Participation in random drug and alcohol programs.
