We're working with a global manufacturing group with operations in Blaine, WA
, specializing in paper converting, extrusion coating, and laminating processes that produce high-performance paper and film-based products for industrial, food packaging, and construction applications. We’re seeking an experienced Machine Operator with a background in paper converting, coating, or other continuous web-handling processes
. In this role, you’ll set up, operate, and maintain production equipment that coats, laminates, or converts paper materials. You’ll work closely with your shift team to ensure consistent product quality, minimize downtime, and maintain a safe, efficient work environment
- Operate and monitor converting or coating lines in accordance with established procedures and quality standards
- Set up and fine-tune machines (slitters, rewinders, coaters, or sheeters) to ensure proper web alignment, tension, and coating application
- Perform regular quality checks on material thickness, adhesion, and surface finish
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production efficiency and address process issues
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
- Support minor mechanical troubleshooting and assist with equipment adjustments as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a clean, organized work area
- 2+ years of experience in a paper converting, paper mill, coating, laminating
, or similar process manufacturing environment - Forklift experience and current certification strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial machinery
- Ability to work 12-hour day and night shifts
, including some weekends - Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail and safety
- Willingness to cross-train and learn coating and laminating processes
- Competitive starting wage: $24.00–$26.00/hour
