Operator- Blair Terminal

Overview

CF Industries, a global leader in clean energy, is seeking an Operator to work 12‑hour rotating shifts (6am‑6pm or 6pm‑6am) on an ammonia terminal. The Operator loads and unloads product, maintains equipment and grounds, and supports safe and reliable operations.

• Perform product loading and unloading in accordance with operating procedures.
• Inspect, maintain, and clean terminal equipment, buildings, and grounds.
• Operate refrigeration systems, including testing, recording sample results, and monitoring gauge readings.
• Update and maintain accurate equipment manuals, records, and paperwork.
• Comply with training, environmental, health and safety programs and recordkeeping requirements.
• Assist with training and development of other operators.
• Coordinate with Emergency Response Personnel for environmental, health and safety situations.
• Respond to hazardous material spills and perform remediation duties.
• Progress through the Operator Progression Program.
• Assume management responsibilities of the facility when the facility manager is absent.
• Participate in the development and implementation of capital and maintenance projects.
• Perform other duties requested by facility management necessary for proper operation of the facility.

• High school graduate or equivalent; plus equivalent of 2years college, military/technical training, or related work experience.
• Ability to understand and follow operating procedures.
• Refrigeration knowledge commensurate with position level.
• Good communication skills.
• HAZMAT certified (post‑employment requirement).
• Ability and initiative to exercise independent or team‑oriented action.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and information retrieval.
• Read, write, communicate and comprehend the English language.

May be required to travel to different facility locations for limited periods. Works in variable environmental conditions (extreme cold/heat, humidity, wind, rain, snow, ice). Works with hazardous chemicals. Incumbent is “on‑call” 24hours per day for pre‑designated time periods and must be located within reasonable proximity of facility (≈30min–45min driving time). Regularly assumes physically awkward and stressful positions and occasionally required to climb heights of approximately 80‑100ft.
