Nature Works is an advanced materials company providing renewably-sourced polymers and chemicals to industries such as packaging, fibers, and chemicals. Our Ingeo™ polymers offer eco-friendly alternatives to oil-based products and are used in various applications from electronics to 3D printing.
Position Overview:We are seeking a Production Technician responsible for the safe, daily operations of our production plant. This role involves environmental compliance, ensuring product quality, and maintaining plant safety. The position requires 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts will rotate from days to nights every 8 weeks. Our plant is located in the Blair bio-refinery campus.
Key Responsibilities:- Safety Leadership :
Ensure plant safety, identify unsafe conditions, and follow EH&S policies. - Operations : Operate equipment, monitor plant systems, troubleshoot, and adjust processes as needed.
- Collaboration : Communicate with supervisors about quality and cost control improvements.
- Housekeeping : Maintain plant cleanliness and support overall plant upkeep.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Pay starts at $27.50 per hour.
- Benefits begin on day 1.
- 3 weeks of vacation, 6 family/sick days.
- 8.5% company 401k contribution.
