Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Nurse RN – Labor and Delivery – for a 13‑week assignment in Blair, Nebraska, starting 06/22/2026. The role requires 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts, and is a travel position.

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during labor, delivery, and examinations.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies such as preeclampsia, hemorrhage, or fetal distress using evidence‐based protocols.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Perform other duties within the scope of labor and delivery nursing as assigned.

• Minimum one year of recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification.
• STABLE and ACLS certifications (AHA/ARC).
