Day 1:
You step onto the shop floor as the senior coded welder, straight into pipework and pressure systems that need your precision.

Day 30:
You're leading welding activities across live projects, and your input on Welding Procedure Specifications is already shaping how the team works.

Day 90:
You're recognised as the go-to technical expert, mentoring junior welders and driving improvements across the department.

As a Senior 6G Welder, your responsibilities will include:
  • Perform high-quality 6G coded welding on carbon steel and stainless steel using TIG and MMA processes
  • Interpret engineering drawings, fabrication details, and welding symbols to a precise standard
  • Develop and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications and support Welder Qualification Tests
  • Conduct visual inspections and identify or rectify welding defects to strict quality standards
  • Mentor and coach junior welders and apprentices to build wider team capability
  • Complete quality, inspection, and production documentation accurately
As a Senior 6G Welder, your experience will include:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a coded welding environment
  • A valid 6G Welding Certification and NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding or equivalent
  • Extensive pipe welding experience in industrial or process engineering environments
  • Proven ability to work from engineering drawings and fabrication packages
  • Experience working to stringent quality standards and supporting weld testing processes
