Our client, a leading provider of highways and street lighting services, is seeking an experienced  HGV HIAB Street Lighting Operative  to join their team in Milton Keynes on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operative with both  HGV and HIAB qualifications  to play a key role in the installation, maintenance, and replacement of street lighting assets across the network.

The Role
Working as part of an established street lighting team, you will be responsible for operating HGV and HIAB vehicles to support a range of street lighting activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
Operate HGV and HIAB vehicles for the transportation and installation of street lighting assets.
Assist with the installation, maintenance, and replacement of lighting columns, lanterns, signs, and associated equipment.
Support planned maintenance and reactive works.
Load, unload, and position equipment safely using HIAB equipment.
Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure compliance with all transport regulations.
Maintain accurate records and job documentation.
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Essential Requirements
HGV Licence (Class 1 or Class
2)
HIAB Certification
Full UK Driving Licence
Previous experience working within street lighting, highways, utilities, or civil engineering environments.
A strong commitment to safe working practices.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable Qualifications
The following are advantageous but not essential:
NRSWA (Street Works) Accreditation
G39 Authorisation
CSCS or ECS Card
IPAF/MEWP Certification

Experience with in street lighting operations
First Aid at Work qualification
