Executive Housekeeper

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and highly organized Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping and public area operations at their esteemed property in Welkom . This role is critical in maintaining the impeccable cleanliness, order, and aesthetic appeal of the entire establishment, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for all guests. You will manage a sizable team, implement rigorous standards, control inventory, and contribute to the overall guest satisfaction and operational efficiency in the Free State region, upholding the brand's commitment to excellence in hospitality.

• Develop, implement, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the property.
• Manage and lead the housekeeping team, including training, scheduling, performance management, and motivation.
• Oversee inventory control for all linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective management.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Office and Maintenance, to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Manage the department's budget, controlling expenses while maintaining quality.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within housekeeping, preferably in a similar-sized establishment.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and pest control.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse team.
• Proficiency in housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.
