Pastry Chef – Luxury Game Reserve – Bloemfontein
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef for a luxury game reserve based in Bloemfontein. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate pastry professional to join a high-end hospitality environment focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Salary: R10,000 – R20,000 (Negotiable DOE)
Live-in position
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all pastry production for morning and afternoon services, ensuring consistency, quality and presentation at luxury standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and present a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, breads and baked goods
• Design and update dessert menus in line with seasonal availability and guest expectations
• Ensure all items are produced to consistent luxury standards
• Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with regulations
• Manage stock levels, ordering and minimise wastage
• Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient pastry section
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef within a luxury lodge, hotel or fine dining environment
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods and dessert presentation
• Ability to work efficiently in a structured service environment
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Creative flair with attention to detail
• Relevant culinary qualification advantageous
This role involves morning and afternoon services only.
