About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Soil Scientist to join their agricultural team in Welkom, Free State . You will conduct soil analyses, develop nutrient management plans, and provide expert advice to farmers and agricultural managers on soil-related issues.

• Conduct comprehensive soil sampling and laboratory analysis to assess physical, chemical, and biological properties.

• Research and evaluate the impact of different farming practices on soil health and productivity.

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Soil Science, Agronomy, or a related environmental science field.
• Proven experience in soil analysis, interpretation, and the development of soil management plans.
• Strong understanding of soil chemistry, physics, and biology, including nutrient cycling and soil microbiology.
• Familiarity with soil testing methodologies and laboratory procedures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
