Senior Geologist - Exploration

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Geologist to lead their Exploration activities in the rich mineral provinces surrounding Bloemfontein . This role is pivotal in identifying and evaluating new mineral prospects, applying advanced geological principles and exploration techniques. You will be responsible for managing exploration programs, interpreting geological data, and guiding the team towards successful resource discovery. • Plan, manage, and execute geological exploration programs to identify and define new mineral resources.
• Interpret geological maps, cross-sections, and geophysical/geochemical data to guide exploration efforts.
• Conduct field mapping, sampling, and core logging for various deposit types.
• Utilize geological modeling software to create 3D models of ore bodies and estimate resource potential.
• Collaborate with geophysicists, geochemists, and engineers to integrate diverse datasets.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant mining and environmental regulations during exploration activities.

• Master's degree in Geology or a related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration.
