Diesel Technician; Trucks and Trailers

Our client is looking for a dedicated Diesel Technician specializing in trucks and trailers to join their team and contribute to their mission of excellence in truck and trailer maintenance and repair.

Minimum requirements:

• Trade Test - Diesel Mechanic (trucks and trailers)
• Valid driver's license (Code 10 and Code 14 will be advantageous)
• Own vehicle
• Minimum of 3-5 years post trade test experience
• Computer Diagnostic Tool experience
• Experience with Iveco, Powerstar and Foton will be advantageous
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English

Responsibilities:

• Work independently in the field
• Plan and perform repairs using correct tools and procedures
• Order and return parts for assigned jobs in a timely manner
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance services
• Demonstrate proper use of service information systems
• Ability to diagnose correct parts that is required for repairs
• Utilize power tools - drills, impact wrench, air ratchet, grinders
• Perform relevant administrative duties and ad hoc administration as required
• Traveling to sites will be required
• Ability to perform the following tasks on basic components in work area, including engine, hydraulic, transmission and electrical components
• Completing job cards

Remuneration:

R 12 000 - R 38 000 Cost to Company, depending on the experience
