Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and components while ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations, electrical standards, and company procedures. The role requires a proactive individual who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment to ensure the efficient operation of electrical systems and minimise downtime.

The successful candidate must be able to interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics, identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently, and maintain accurate records of work completed. Minimum

requirements
  • Matric
  • Qualified Electrician with a recognised Trade Test Certificate
  • Valid Wireman's Licence
  • Minimum of 3–5 years' post-trade experience as an Electrician
  • Experience in electrical installations, maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs
  • Sound knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and safety regulations
  • Experience working with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
  • Knowledge of electrical compliance standards and industry best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Proficient in diagnosing and resolving electrical faults efficiently
  • Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment

    Fluent in Afrikaans and English
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • Willingness to work overtime, standby duties, and after-hours call-outs when required
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Duties and responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, inspect, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components
  • Perform fault-finding and diagnose electrical issues to minimise downtime
  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant regulations, standards, and safety requirements
  • Test electrical systems and equipment using appropriate diagnostic tools and instruments
  • Install and connect wiring, control panels, motors, and electrical components
  • Respond to breakdowns and carry out emergency repairs when required
  • Identify and report potential electrical hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and job documentation
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe
  • Collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and other departments to complete projects efficiently
  • Monitor the performance and reliability of electrical systems and equipment
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards at all times

Negotiable, depending on experience

Monday - Friday: 08h00 - 17h00
