About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Telecommunications Field Service Technician to join their growing team in Bloemfontein . You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and systems at customer premises and network sites. • Install, configure, and test telecommunications equipment, including modems, routers, switches, and IP phones.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and preventative measures on network infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair faults in telecommunications systems, ensuring minimal service disruption.
• Respond to service tickets and customer requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures while working on-site.
• Provide basic customer training on the use of installed equipment and services.

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role in the telecoms industry .
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, networking principles, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency with hand tools and testing equipment used in the field.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage your schedule effectively in the Bloemfontein area.
