Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support their manufacturing operations in Bloemfontein . In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of industrial machinery and equipment to ensure minimal downtime and optimal operational efficiency. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and contribute to a safe and well-maintained production facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician to join a dedicated team and play a vital role in the continuous operation of the plant.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on all plant machinery and equipment according to schedule.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to minimize production disruption.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.

• Trade qualification (e.g., Electrician, Fitter and Turner) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
