Field Technician - Maintenance & Installation

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Field Technician specializing in Maintenance & Installation to join their team in Bloemfontein . This role is essential for ensuring the consistent and reliable operation of various equipment and systems at client sites throughout the Free State province. You will perform a range of duties including installation, routine servicing, and emergency repairs, acting as a critical support resource for our client's customer base.

The ideal candidate is a skilled tradesperson with a strong work ethic, excellent diagnostic abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality service in a field-based capacity.

• Install and set up new equipment according to precise specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they arise.
• Respond to service requests, diagnosing hardware and system failures and implementing effective repairs.
• Perform system checks and testing to ensure all installations and repairs meet operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, service calls, and parts used.
• Uphold safety regulations and best practices in all field operations.

• Proven hands-on experience in a field service or technical installation role.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and their maintenance requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work through complex technical problems.
• Proficiency with common tools and diagnostic equipment used in the Installation & Maintenance industry.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be available for travel across the Bloemfontein region.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and manage job schedules.
