Our client is looking for a skilled Installation Technician with expertise in telecommunications systems to join their team in Bloemfontein . This role involves the on-site installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure for residential and business clients. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance of network services. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, customer-oriented, and adept at navigating various installation environments.
This position is key to expanding the company's service reach and maintaining high standards of network reliability and customer satisfaction in the Free State province.
- Install, configure, and test telecommunications equipment, including routers, modems, and cabling.
- Perform site surveys to determine optimal equipment placement and installation requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues and service disruptions for customers.
- Educate customers on the proper use and functionality of installed equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and equipment inventory.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry best practices during installations.
- Previous experience as an Installation Technician , preferably in telecommunications or networking.
- Solid understanding of telecommunications hardware , cabling standards (e.g., Ethernet, Coaxial), and basic networking principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a reliable mode of transport.
