Equipment Service Technician

Our client is looking for a skilled Equipment Service Technician to support their operations in Bloemfontein . This role involves the installation, servicing, and repair of various types of equipment used by our clients. You will be responsible for ensuring equipment is functioning optimally, responding to service requests, and performing preventative maintenance. The position offers a dynamic mix of on-site client support and potential for remote coordination, ensuring excellent service delivery within the Free State region.

• Install, calibrate, and set up new equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform diagnostic tests to identify malfunctions and determine necessary repairs.
• Execute repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring proper functionality.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance checks to uphold equipment reliability.
• Provide technical support and basic user training to clients on equipment operation.
• Document all service activities, including troubleshooting steps, parts used, and time spent.

• Experience in a similar role, such as equipment repair, field service, or technical maintenance.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems ; experience with (Specific type of equipment, e.g., printing, medical) equipment is a plus.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good communication and customer interaction skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the Bloemfontein area.
