Senior HVAC Technician

Our client, a leading provider of advanced climate control solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HVAC Technician to join their dynamic team in Bloemfontein, Free State . This is a critical role within the installation and maintenance department, focusing on complex system diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance for a wide range of commercial and industrial clients. You will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our clients' essential environmental systems.

• Perform comprehensive installations, maintenance, and repairs on various HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration units.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex system issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks and servicing to ensure systems operate at peak efficiency and to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate installations and repairs.
• Advise clients on system upkeep, potential upgrades, and energy-saving recommendations.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Mentor and guide junior technicians, sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Maintain detailed records of all service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed.

• A recognized qualification in HVAC technology or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an HVAC technician, with a focus on commercial and industrial systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration principles.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel within the Bloemfontein, Free State region as required.
