Gynecology & Breast Health

Maintain your health with pelvic and breast screening exams and early diagnosis of diseases. We offer advanced diagnostics and treatment for gynecologic disorders. Our experts provide minimally invasive and robotic surgery for conditions including gynecologic cancers, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic pain, pelvic floor disorders, and hysterectomy. Get support during menopause, find qualified, compassionate help for sexual health concerns, and learn about the range of treatments available for incontinence and other bladder health issues.

Obstetrics

Our obstetricians and certified nurse-midwives will provide a memorable birth experience at Henry Ford Hospital (Detroit), Henry Ford Macomb Hospital (Clinton Township), Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital or Henry Ford Jackson Hospital (Jackson). A full range of services, from prenatal genetics to pregnancy, childbirth, infant care, breastfeeding and beyond.

Infertility

GENERAL

SUMMARY:

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate.

This location has two RN's working every day. One for phone triage and in basket, the other does the NST's (non-stress tests), OB Intakes and nurse visits.

Schedules NST's and OB Intakes as well as nurse visits.

There are also 3 MAs and 1-3 providers at this location

* May be asked to float to other ambulatory locations to cover other RN's sick or vacation time

Hours:

6:30AM-7PM working hours --this RN will work 8 hours shifts between these open hours

1 Saturday a month (open hours) 8-12--home site, may float for sick or vacation

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Phone triage and in basket Experience preferred

NST's (non-stress tests)

OB Intakes and nurse visits

Schedules NST's and OB Intakes as well as nurse visits.

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation.

Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.

Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.

Preferred experience in the specialty.

Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.

Prior Women's Health experience preferred

EFM (External Fetal Monitoring) experience preferred

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES

REQUIRED:

Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.

Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.
