Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting high school students in a school setting. This contract position involves engaging with students to support their growth and learning, focusing on academic, social, and emotional development. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with workdays typically lasting about 7 hours and 25 minutes. The assignment begins as soon as possible, and while it is expected to continue through the end of the school year, there is a required 30-day notice for early cancellation if the district hires someone directly. The caseload involves high school students and does not require toileting or feeding responsibilities.

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Experience working in high school settings is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for high school students
  • Differentiate instruction to meet a variety of learning needs and academic levels
