Job Description

Position Summary
The CREC Academy of Computer Science & Engineering Middle School is in search of a middle school science teacher for the school year. Secondary Science teachers work under the general supervision of their school principal performing the essential performance responsibilities listed below.
Duties/Responsibilities- Develop and administer curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
- Promote a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small-group instruction, and student learning.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials for science, aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards, and translate lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize the available time for instruction.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modify instructional methods to fit individual student needs; conduct individual and small group instruction as needed.
- Maintain a safe science classroom/laboratory.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
