Hiring for a Quality Technician in Bloomfield, CT
The Quality Technician will provide crucial support for aero-derivative gas turbine programs, extending beyond mere inspection of parts. This role involves reviewing paperwork, inspection plans, working with suppliers to rectify issues, and overseeing first article inspections. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel is essential.
Responsibilities- Perform inspection of new and overhauled parts received from suppliers.
- Inspect parts stored in the warehouse before they are moved to the parent company/owner.
- Inspect parts at supplier, partner, or customer locations as needed.
- Ensure all supplier documentation is accurate and meets requirements as part of the inspection process.
- Execute supplier source inspections.
- Quality engineering and materials engineering knowledge.
- Experience with ISO Standards, Auditing, Root Cause Analysis, Quality Standards, and Quality Assurance.
- Mechanical Engineering, including Heat Treating, Brazing, and Welding.
- Proficiency in Process Analysis.
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional groups.
- Ability to develop and sustain change activities.
- Project management skills with proven accomplishments.
- Engineering drawing interpretation and GD&T skills, with the ability to interpret CMM data outputs.
- Hard gaging experience, including the use of calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to engage, interact with, and hold suppliers accountable.
- Experience using root cause analysis tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Permanent position based out of Bloomfield, CT.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/yr. Mitsubishi Power Aero offers a comprehensive health package:
