Davidson Technologies is seeking a Senior Program Manager in Crane, IN to support a technical evaluation effort assessing the microelectronics capability landscape relevant to Department of Defense mission systems. This role will oversee a multidisciplinary engineering effort analyzing technologies ranging from Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and semiconductor fabrication to advanced packaging, prototyping, testing, and supply chain resiliency.
The Program Manager will coordinate with the prime contractor and government customer, ensuring effective execution of program objectives while leading internal technical teams responsible for engineering assessments, prototyping activities, and technical reporting.
The ideal candidate brings experience managing complex RDT&E programs involving advanced technologies, strong stakeholder coordination skills, and the ability to translate technical analysis into actionable program outcomes.
Job Responsibilities:Program Leadership
- Serve as the Project Manager responsible for execution of all technical and programmatic activities associated with the task order.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams performing research, engineering assessments, prototyping, and technical evaluations.
- Ensure program execution meets schedule, cost, and performance objectives.
- Develop and maintain the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) reflecting technical dependencies, engineering maturity, and integration risks.
- Develop and track program spend plans and funding execution.
- Prepare and deliver Monthly Status Reports (MSRs) capturing progress, accomplishments, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Monitor technical milestones and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Coordinate program activities with the prime contractor and government customer.
- Support technical reviews, program meetings, and other coordination activities required for successful execution.
- Document and track meeting outcomes and action items.
- Provide oversight of engineering teams performing:
- Microelectronics capability assessments
- Industrial base and supply chain analysis
- Hardware conceptualization and rapid prototyping
- Integration, testing, verification, and validation activities
- Ensure engineering activities follow structured systems engineering practices and model-based program management approaches.
- Ensure timely production and submission of program deliverables including:
- Monthly Status Reports
- Integrated Master Schedule updates
- Technical review summaries and meeting minutes
- Trip reports
- Final technical reports
- Identify and proactively manage risks related to technical maturity, schedule dependencies, and program execution.
- Communicate risks and mitigation strategies to internal leadership, the prime contractor, and the government customer.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of experience managing DoD technical or RDT&E programs.
- Experience leading complex engineering programs involving multiple technical disciplines and stakeholders.
- Experience developing and managing:
- Integrated Master Schedules
- Program budgets and funding tracking
- Technical reporting and deliverables
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and government stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Experience supporting DoD research, development, and prototyping efforts.
- Familiarity with:
- Microelectronics or semiconductor technologies
- Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tool chains
- FPGA or embedded hardware development
- Advanced packaging and hardware prototyping
- Experience managing programs involving technology assessments, prototyping, and testing activities.
- PMP certification or equivalent program management credential.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
- Ability to access, handle, and store classified information up to the Secret level and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
Limited CONUS travel may be required to support program reviews, customer coordination, and technical activities.
