SUMMARY: The NDT Technician II will be responsible for conducting and interpreting non-destructive tests on various aircraft components and structures using advanced NDT methods. This individual must hold a Level 2 NDT certification. This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality of parts, while maintaining compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform and interpret non-destructive tests on aerospace components using a variety of NDT techniques. This includes the preparation of parts before or after testing in accordance with approved work instructions.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and ensure proper documentation of all findings, ensuring compliance with customer, company, and regulatory requirements.
- Set up and calibrate NDT equipment, and conduct tests in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.
- Interpret and evaluate test results according to applicable standards, codes, and specifications, and make recommendations based on findings.
- Review and analyze work orders, technical manuals, and blueprints to determine appropriate NDT methods and inspection criteria.
- Provide guidance and training to Level 1 NDT Inspectors.
- Maintain NDT equipment and conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard
- Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, and company safety, quality, and environmental policies.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and corrective actions as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
