Join Salas O’Brien as a Civil Engineer. You will build and manage relationships with in‑house teams and contractors while providing design and consulting services to facility managers and owners. Projects include decarbonization/electrification, higher education, K‑12, sports, and manufacturing facilities.

• Support civil engineering designs and grow technical responsibility through hands‑on project experience.
• Complete routine engineering calculations using standard methods, references, and software tools.
• Research and select materials and components using engineering references and product literature.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, including discipline‑specific nomenclature and plan set content.
• Assist with hydrologic analyses, site layout, grading, utility, drainage, and sedimentation/erosion control designs for planning, permitting, and construction phases.
• Design roadway and parking layouts, overall site grading, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, domestic water, fire protection, thermal distribution, electrical and telecommunication infrastructure, and site lighting.
• Use engineering software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Hydraflow, and Sewer
  
  GEMS.
• Review plans and collaborate with project engineers and other team members to resolve design challenges.
• Provide timely services that meet client needs and overall project schedule requirements.

• BS in Civil Engineering and plan to take or have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
• Working knowledge of civil analysis and design software (Civil 3D preferred).
• Hybrid position: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote (other arrangements considered).
• Ability to travel to project sites.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and e‑mail applications.
• Effective interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication.
• Confident and ambitious problem‑solver.
• Adaptable, flexible, and willing to work on various projects and tasks.

• Less than 2 years:
  Entry‑level.

Up to 10%

Base salary range: $75,000 – $80,000 USD per year, plus performance‑based bonuses.
