Electronics Repair Manufacturing Engineer / Test Systems Integration Consultant

We are seeking a senior-level Electronics Repair Manufacturing Engineer / Test Systems Integration Consultant to lead the capacity expansion of an industrial electronics repair operation specializing in elevator drives, power electronics, and PCBA repairs. This role will serve as the technical lead responsible for designing, building, validating, and deploying new test systems, optimizing repair workflows, improving throughput, and reducing operational costs and lead times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and commission electronic test equipment and repair fixtures.
  • Develop functional, diagnostic, and end-of-line test solutions for industrial electronic assemblies.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PCBAs, power electronics, VFDs, motor control systems, and industrial control electronics.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes, repair workflows, and facility layouts using Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Lead equipment migration, commissioning, and operational transition activities.
  • Develop technical documentation including schematics, procedures, work instructions, and validation protocols.
  • Drive capacity expansion initiatives by identifying bottlenecks and implementing scalable solutions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, repair, test engineering, or industrial systems support.
  • Expertise in power electronics, industrial drives, electronics troubleshooting, and automated test systems.
  • Hands-on experience with National Instruments (NI), LabVIEW, PLC-based test systems, and Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
  • Experience designing and commissioning electronic test equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, process optimization, and cell-based production systems.
  • Proven experience leading manufacturing transfers, facility transitions, or operational startup projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with elevator, industrial automation, transportation, or depot repair operations.
  • Knowledge of elevator electronics, VFDs, motor controls, and industrial power systems.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Industrial Engineering certifications preferred.
