Location: Bloomfield, CT;
Ledyard, CT; or Westfield, MA b ased upon candidates geographic location (Requires regular travel among Viability programs and office sites.)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM

We are seeking a Workplace Resolution Specialist to serve as a trusted, neutral resource for employees and leaders and to manage workplace complaints from initial intake through investigation and resolution.

Position Summary:

The Workplace Resolution Specialist is Viability’s dedicated resource for receiving, investigating, and resolving workplace complaints, including allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, hostile work environment, and violations of Viability policies, procedures, or applicable employment laws. This is a high-trust position with significant responsibility and independence. The Specialist owns the complaint process from intake through resolution and is expected to bring impeccable ethics, sound judgment, discretion, and unwavering impartiality to every case.

Because this position is regularly entrusted with highly sensitive and confidential information, the successful candidate must demonstrate the highest standards of personal integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion. The Specialist must be comfortable navigating complex, emotionally charged, and high-stakes situations while ensuring that all parties are treated fairly, respectfully, and consistently.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary intake point for workplace complaints, including allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, hostile work environment, and Code of Conduct concerns.
  • Promptly document, acknowledge, assess, and appropriately triage workplace complaints.
  • Plan and conduct thorough, timely, and impartial workplace investigations.
  • Identify relevant witnesses, gather and preserve documentary and other evidence, conduct structured interviews, and evaluate conflicting information.
  • Apply a preponderance of the evidence standard, where appropriate, to reach objective, well-supported, and defensible findings.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Employment Law, Organizational Behavior, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of four years of experience conducting internal workplace investigations, employee relations, HR compliance, or a comparable role involving workplace complaint resolution.
  • Working knowledge of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated high level of personal integrity and ethics, with a proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise impartiality and sound judgment under pressure.
  • Excellent interviewing, active listening, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish trust while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate complex, incomplete, or conflicting information and synthesize it into clear, objective, and defensible findings.
