The Cigna Group’s Technology Development Program (TECDP) Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering Summer Internship

What

You Will Do

Meaningful Role Work: Work within the Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering track, contributing to the design, deployment, and support of secure, scalable technology environments. You’ll gain hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, automation tools, and enterprise infrastructure, helping power the systems that enable healthcare innovation across The Cigna Group.

Learning From Others: Engage with peers, mentors, and cross‑functional partners through community‑building activities and collaborative initiatives. Whether you’re supporting recruiting efforts, driving innovation, promoting community, or enhancing onboarding experiences, you’ll learn by doing and growing through shared knowledge.

Formal Education and Curriculum: Participate in structured learning through both core and track‑specific curriculum. This includes technical training, leadership development, and exposure to the business designed to support your growth as a well‑rounded technologist.

Community Building: Build meaningful relationships across the organization through networking events, mentorship, cross‑functional collaboration, or informal peer engagement. Develop strong relationships that support your personal and professional growth.

Qualifications
  • Must be currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cloud Computing, Network and Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated foundational understanding of cloud computing concepts and familiarity with platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as microservices architecture, is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, or Power Shell, with a desire to expand your technical expertise.
  • Experience with version control systems, specifically Git, and strong collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively.
  • A proactive attitude toward learning and adaptability to new challenges.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, including Scrum, is preferred.
  • Understanding of modern delivery practices such as continuous integration and test‑driven development is a plus.
  • A GPA of 3.3 or higher is preferred.
Additional Information

Locations: The role requires a hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of three days per week working onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, and one additional day of the employee’s choice), and the option to work the remaining days remotely. Employees must be able to meet the onsite schedule.

Program Schedule

You must be available to work a 40-hour work week beginning May 24th, 2027. Working days are Monday – Friday.

Compensation

The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is $25.00 to $33.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, experience, and location.
