System Support Supervisor - Islandia, NY

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a System Support Supervisor to join our team in Islandia, New York. This individual will be responsible for providing guidance for their location managing workflow/task execution and the integration of all functions to the site.

• Starting at $50,000-$55,000

• Provides guidance for their location managing workflow/task execution and the integration of all functions to the site.
• Acts as first line supervisor for designated dispatch staff.
• Monitors and validates the accuracy of entries into the TMW Truck Mate system, including filing and maintaining paperwork associated with TMW entries.
• Takes emergency and non-emergency requests for assistance, dispatching appropriate units and maintaining contact with responding units to gather and supply information.
• Provides assistance to all dispatch related matters.
• Will step up to the plate when necessary to cover for staff due to unexpected occurrences.
• Maintains ongoing communication and coordination of activities between Dispatch and all carrier transportation needs including WCDI Management and in some cases Customer (Trader Joe's).
• Monitors each carrier's on-time deliveries, equipment availability, ensuring equipment is properly maintained to avoid mechanical breakdowns or delayed deliveries.
• May perform other support staff functions as requested by the manager.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. supplemented by advanced college coursework in data processing or related fields.
• Two to four years of directly related experience.
• A combination of education and experience may substitute if there is demonstrated knowledge ability and skills to perform the work.
• Understanding of DOT rules and regulations, vehicle weight capacity and load specs.
• Ability to work graveyard hours, weekends, holidays, and OT-flexibility of schedule is a must.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in coaching, counseling and conflict resolution.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage stress in self and others within a fast-paced environment, adapting readily to change.
• Requires proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and related applications.
• Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) software related to load processing, quote request, shipment tracking.
• Preferred experience with Truck Mate, PC Miler, Fleetmatics, Road Net, or related systems.
• Must have strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract, compile and analyze data.
• Proficiency in English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, ratios.
• Advanced knowledge related to the department functions.
• Ability to detect errors, determine causes, and make corrections as appropriate.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships with customers, co-workers, and representatives of other agencies.
• Must be able to interact with all levels of upper management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual is a plus.
• Must be able to manage and lead a diverse workforce.
