Buyer
We are seeking a Buyer to support procurement, material planning, supplier management, inventory continuity, and supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of materials, components, and services needed to support production and business objectives.
The Buyer will work closely with suppliers, manufacturing teams, planning personnel, customer service, logistics, and supply chain stakeholders to manage purchase orders, mitigate shortages, monitor supplier performance, and support operational continuity.

Responsibilities- Execute procurement activities to support production and operational requirements.
- Create, manage, and maintain purchase orders.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and material availability.
- Monitor supplier performance and support supplier relationship management activities.
- Identify and mitigate material shortages, supply disruptions, and inventory risks.
- Support inventory continuity through planning, forecasting, and replenishment activities.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, planning, customer service, logistics, and supply chain teams to support business requirements.
- Review order status, delivery commitments, and inventory levels to support production schedules.
- Support material planning and supply chain initiatives.
- Maintain accurate procurement and supplier information within ERP systems.
- Perform data analysis using Microsoft Excel and other business tools.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives that enhance procurement and supply chain performance.
- Experience supporting purchasing, procurement, supply chain, materials management, planning, or related business functions.
- Experience creating and managing purchase orders.
- Familiarity with supplier communication and supplier performance management.
- Experience utilizing ERP, MRP, or similar business systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or supply chain environments.
- Experience with inventory management and material planning.
- Experience supporting shortage management and inventory continuity.
- Experience with supplier relationship management.
- Experience coordinating logistics and supply chain activities.
- Strong ERP system aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Experience supporting cross-functional operations involving procurement, planning, and manufacturing teams.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Bloomfield, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
