Buyer, Supply Chain​/Logistics

Summary:

We are seeking a Buyer to support procurement and supply chain operations by ensuring the timely availability of materials, components, and services required to meet business and production needs. This role will partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to manage purchasing activities, monitor supplier performance, mitigate supply risks, and support inventory optimization efforts.

• Create, manage, and expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships while monitoring supplier performance, quality, and delivery metrics.
• Collaborate with Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, and Finance teams to support operational requirements.
• Identify and resolve supply chain issues, shortages, and delivery risks.
• Maintain accurate procurement data, pricing, supplier records, and system information.
• Support inventory optimization, cost-control initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and established procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
• 1-5 years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or materials management experience.
• Experience managing purchase orders and supplier relationships in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

This is an entry to intermediate-level procurement position offering growth opportunities in supplier management, cost control, supply continuity, and inventory management.

This is a Contract position based out of Bloomfield, CT.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a hybrid position in Bloomfield,CT.
