Kamatics is seeking an experienced Abrasive Machinist

- Precision Grinder (2nd Shift) to support production operations by performing complex grinding processes to tight aerospace tolerances. This role is critical to ensuring the precision and quality of our high-performance bearing components.

Key Responsibilities- Independently set up, adjust, and operate OD and equipment
- Select and apply appropriate grinding wheels based on material type, tolerance, and finish requirements
- Perform wheel dressing and adjustments to maintain precision and surface integrity
- Execute form grinding and complex setups on aerospace components
- Interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements to meet tight tolerances and surface finish specs
- Troubleshoot issues related to surface finish, chatter, and wheel performance
- Select work holding methods, speeds, feeds, and machine parameters
- Partner cross-functionally to meet quality and delivery targets
- 4+ years of hands‑on grinding experience (OD, , or centerless) in a precision manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of grinding wheel selection, composition, and dressing techniques
- Ability to perform independent grind setups
- Experience working to tight tolerances in aerospace or high‑precision environments
- Solid understanding of shop math and GD&T
- Experience with form grinding or honing
- Aerospace or bearing manufacturing background
- Dependability: Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions with appropriate supervision
- Quality & Continuous Improvement: Maintains quality while optimizing efficiency; demonstrates attention to detail

- Occasional (15–40%) lifting and moving of materials up to 50 lbs
2nd Shift: 3:15 PM – 12:45 AM, Monday–Friday
One hour of mandatory daily overtime currently required
