Senior Pastor

First Baptist Church of Bloomfield, NM is seeking a senior or lead pastor to shepherd a vibrant congregation of approximately 400 Sunday attendees.

Responsibilities will include preaching, pastoral care, staff leadership, and outreach in alignment with the church’s mission statement: "Gathering in worship to our King, growing each other through the Word, serving others with our lives, and sharing the Gospel with those we meet every day."

• Lead a multi‑level staff and groups of volunteers.
• Provide pastoral care and spiritual guidance to congregants.
• Develop and oversee worship services, Bible studies, and outreach initiatives.
• Collaborate with church leadership to ensure mission‑driven ministry.

Qualifications:

• Pastoral experience as a senior pastor or senior staff member at a church of comparable size and diversity is preferred.
• Master’s degree or doctoral degree related to ministry is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead staff and volunteer teams.
• Views consistent with the Southern Baptist Convention’s Baptist Faith & Message.

Position is full time; salary is TBD and commensurate with experience, education and church size.
