Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Quality, or related discipline) Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

AIAG Core Tools Certification. IATF 16949 Internal Auditor Certification. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent quality certification.

Required Qualifications:

5–7 years of experience in Quality Engineering within an automotive or manufacturing environment. Experience developing and implementing quality standards, inspection plans, and process improvements. Experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of automotive quality processes and standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Leadership and mentoring skills to support quality initiatives and training.

Required Technical

Skills:

Strong knowledge of AIAG Core Tools: PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC. Working knowledge of IATF 16949 quality management standards. Experience with statistical analysis using Minitab. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience with quality inspection, measurement systems, and testing equipment. Familiarity with CAD software and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain quality standards for products, processes, and manufacturing systems. Prepare PPAP documentation and support APQP activities for new product launches. Analyze quality data, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Design sampling procedures and establish methods for collecting and reporting quality data. Evaluate production equipment, measurement systems, and testing processes for accuracy and reliability. Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure product compliance.

Conduct quality audits and support compliance with IATF 16949 requirements. Utilize Minitab to perform statistical analysis and process capability studies. Train and mentor production personnel on quality control processes and best practices. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to drive continuous quality improvement.
