Position: Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) Bloomfield, CT 06002

Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships and represent Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels and support seasonal resets and installations when needed.

Salary and Schedule Details
  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $17.00 to $18.00 depending on your skills and experience.
  • Paid training is provided through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.
  • Part‑time employees receive voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, and other options.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours are between 8 and 10 per week.
  • Availability the week before and the week after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
  • Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Your Role and Responsibilities

You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers.

  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Use a Hallmark mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor inventory. Communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and answer required merchandising surveys. Maintain courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers.
  • Holiday support:
    During peak seasonal periods (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) expect additional days and extended hours. Work on holidays and weekends as needed.
  • Department resets:
    Participate in installations and task teams to build and install Hallmark fixtures, relocate card departments, and reset card sections. Receive 2‑week advance notice for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration:
    Support other merchandisers in their territories when needed.
Physical Requirements

Requires a high level of energy and urgency. Work on the selling floor and back stockrooms. Consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds daily and up to 50 pounds on occasion. Kneel, squat, walk, stand throughout the day, and climb stairs and step ladders as required.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Proficient with a digital handheld device for documents and information.
  • Access to Wi‑Fi and internet.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores as scheduled.
