As a Security Officer Patrol Access Verification in Bloomfield, CT
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor activity, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will support access awareness, provide outstanding customer service and communication, and contribute to a caring, agile team that values reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity every day.

Full Time

$17.50 / Hour

Day Time (Monday-Friday): 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and sharing relevant information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter access points to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or delivery traffic, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations, damaged property, and/or operational concerns.
• Support site operations by observing surroundings, reporting hazards, assisting with directions, and communicating professionally with staff, vendors, and/or guests during routine and emergency situations.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
