Security Officer Distribution Field Patrol – Bloomfield, CT
Assuming the role of a Security Officer Distribution Field Patrol in Bloomfield, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries including logistics and distribution. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, reduce security‑related incidents, and support access monitoring and customer interactions.
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour
Job Schedule:
- Mon – 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Tue – 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Wed – 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Thu – 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Fri – 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, operational concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, document observations, and communicate with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity and policy concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry for visitors and vendors, and report suspicious activity, damaged equipment, and unsecured areas to appropriate personnel.
- Support loss prevention and inventory protection by observing shipping and receiving activity, checking restricted areas, and reporting irregular movements, trespassing, and after‑hours concerns.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
