Job Name: Slate Roofing Technician
Location: Bloomfield, CT

Pay: $27-$33 per hour (Based on experience) + Company Vehicle, Fuel Card

As a Slate Roofing Technician
, you'll be on the front lines delivering specialized slate roofing installation, repair, and restoration services to our customers. You'll be responsible for diagnosing roofing issues, completing high-quality slate repairs and installations, fabricating and installing sheet metal components, and ensuring every project is completed safely and to the highest craftsmanship standards.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on slate roofing experience who takes pride in precision work, understands traditional roofing systems, and has experience working with both slate and sheet metal

• Install, repair, and maintain slate roofing systems
• Diagnose roofing issues and determine the appropriate repair or replacement solution
• Install, repair, and fabricate sheet metal components including flashing, valleys, and trim
• Perform high-quality slate repairs while matching existing materials and maintaining roof integrity
• Complete service and repair work in accordance with company standards and best practices
• Document work performed with notes and photos
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, team members, and leadership throughout each project
• Safely operate ladders, tools, and equipment in varying weather conditions
• Pick up and transport materials or supplies as needed

• Start your day at our Bloomfield, CT office with your team
• Travel to job sites throughout the area
• Diagnose roofing issues and complete slate roofing installations or repairs
• Install and repair sheet metal components as needed
• Document your work with photos and notes
• Wrap up jobs and prepare for the next day

• Slate roofing installation or repair
• Historic or specialty roofing
• Sheet metal roofing or flashing installation
• Residential roofing

• Valid driver's license required
• Slate roofing experience is required
• Comfortable working a flexible schedule that may include Saturdays and overtime during peak season
• Experience installing and repairing sheet metal components required
• Ability to independently diagnose roofing issues and complete slate roofing repairs and installations
• Comfortable working on ladders and at heights
• Strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, and pride in quality work
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills
• Ability to lift and carry 75–100 pounds of materials, tools, and equipment

• This role requires coming to the Bloomfield, CT office daily prior to heading to job sites
• You’ll travel to job sites throughout the area

Compensation for this role may be provided as hourly pay, salary, commission, piece-rate, bonuses, incentives, or a combination of these methods, depending on the position.
