Position: Residential Re-Entry Specialist (Per Diem)

Community Solutions, Inc. is seeking dedicated candidates to fill Per‑Diem (as needed) roles of Residential Re‑Entry Specialist for our Drapelick program located in Bloomfield, CT. These programs serve state and federal work release clients who live in a congregate setting and are supported as they obtain full‑time employment and meet financial and self‑sufficiency goals. The program administers assessments, monitors compliance with treatment plan goals, and involves clients in direct treatment services that address their criminogenic tendencies.

Services include random breathalyzer or urinalysis, cognitive behavioral groups, home confinement monitoring, and case management to assist clients in maintaining stability leading to successful discharge.

Position Overview
  • Report to work 15 minutes before the scheduled shift (e.g., staff hired for the 4:00‑12:00 am shift are required to report by 3:45 pm).
  • Conduct urinalysis.
  • Provide updates on any client issues and incidents.
  • Verify all physical items passed between shifts.
  • Ensure security of facility keys.
  • Conduct employment, job search, and home confinement spot checks on each shift.
  • Conduct common‑area, room, and perimeter searches as assigned and document results.
  • Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility and document results.
  • Confiscate any contraband found and complete incident report.
  • Complete house counts every hour from midnight to 8 am and every two hours from 8 am to 10 pm and document results.
  • Transport clients as needed in a company vehicle.
  • Conduct monthly emergency drills.
  • Secure urines from same‑sex clients and complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation.
  • Supervise all client visitation. Sign all visitors and contractors in and out of the facility.
  • Complete intake on all new arrivals prior to the end of the shift. Facilitate client orientation as assigned.
  • Facilitate all client movement in and out of the facility.
  • Monitor client’s self‑administration of medication.

Schedule:

Per‑diem as needed; will be required to attend one staff and training per month.

Hourly Rate: $18.75

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma plus 4 years’ experience in the social service or criminal justice field.
  • Pass a Federal Bureau of Prisons background check.
  • Attend 40 hrs of FBOP required training prior to working with FBOP clients.
  • Education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one‑year for one‑year basis.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license.
