Join our mission‑driven team as a Full‑time Residential Re‑Entry Specialist at Drapelick Center located in Bloomfield, CT. Due to our contractual requirements, we can only consider male applicants for this role. We believe in second chances and providing the support people need to succeed.
Responsibilities- Report to work 15 minutes before the scheduled shift.
- Conduct urinalysis and secure urine samples from same‑sex clients, completing all required paperwork and electronic documentation.
- Provide updates on client issues and incidents to staff.
- Verify all physical items being passed between shifts and ensure security of facility keys.
- Conduct employment, job search, and home confinement spot checks on each shift.
- Perform common area, room, and perimeter searches as assigned, documenting results.
- Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility, documenting results.
- Confiscate contraband found and complete incident reports.
- Complete house counts: every hour from midnight to 8am and every 2 hours from 8am to 10pm, documenting results.
- Transport clients as needed in a company vehicle.
- Conduct monthly emergency drills.
- Supervise all client visitation and sign visitors and contractors in and out of the facility.
- Complete intake on all new arrivals prior to the end of the shift and facilitate client orientation as assigned.
- Facilitate all client movement in and out of the facility.
- Monitor client’s self‑administration of medication.
Tuesday – Saturday 12:00am – 8:00am
Hourly Rate$20.25 per hour, plus applicable shift differentials.

- High School Diploma plus 4 years’ experience in the social service or criminal justice field (education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one‑for‑one basis).
- Only male applicants will be considered due to contractual requirements.
- Pass a Federal Bureau of Prisons background check.
- Attend 40 hours of FBOP required training prior to working with FBOP clients.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Two weeks’ vacation accrued within the first year, bumping to three weeks after one year of service.
