CGI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Python SQL Developer to join our U.S. Client team. This is an exciting opportunity for early-career professionals to work in a collaborative environment supporting client-facing projects and internal data initiatives. The selected candidate will contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of data-driven solutions leveraging Python and SQL technologies. This position is located at client site in Bloomfield, CT.
Responsibilities- Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and scripts
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects
- Support data integration and ETL processes across multiple systems
- Analyze business and technical requirements to deliver scalable solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and clients
- Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Document technical designs, processes, and code artifacts in accordance with CGI standards
- At least 0–2 years of experience with Python development (academic or internship experience acceptable)
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational database concepts (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Postgre
SQL) - Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and software development fundamentals
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Education:
B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
