Bloomfield High School Football Coach

Job Summary

Bloomfield is seeking a motivated, student-centered High School Football Coach to lead and develop our football program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a commitment to sportsmanship, and a passion for mentoring student-athletes both on and off the field. This position is responsible for fostering athletic excellence, academic accountability, and personal growth in alignment with school and district values.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan, organize, and lead all aspects of the high school football program

* Teach and develop football fundamentals, strategies, and game preparation

* Promote academic success, character development, and positive sportsmanship

* Supervise and mentor student-athletes during practices, games, and team activities

* Develop practice plans and coordinate game-day operations

* Ensure compliance with school, district, league, and state athletic association rules

* Maintain a safe environment by enforcing proper training, conditioning, and safety protocols

* Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, school staff, and administration

* Assist with off-season training, player development, and program fundraising (if applicable)

* Oversee assistant coaches (if head coach position)

Qualifications

* A valid 5 year renewable Connecticut Coaching Certificate

* Previous football coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level

* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Compensation - $8893 Stipend
