Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Bloomfield, CT — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Pay and Benefits:

• Weekly Guaranteed: $1,319
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.78 per Mile with at least 1,000 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay: $20.66 per Stop with at least 5 Stops per Week

• Schedule:
  
  Sunday–Sunday operation with 2 consecutive days off
• Dispatch Window: 1:00 AM – 5:00 AM

  Day Cab
• Trailers:
  Reefer 48', 58', 28' Pups, 26' Straight Truck
• Equipment:
  Manual Pallet Jack, Lift Gate
• Trucks: 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the last 3 years, 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, or procedures

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by the customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
