This opportunity is based on a CDL Class A Driver career path and is being offered by Staffmark to qualified candidates.
What You’ll Do- Operate a Class A tractor-trailer on local routes
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
- Safely transport freight while following DOT regulations
- Complete required paperwork and communicate with dispatch
- Secure freight and provide excellent customer service
- Refrigerated trailers, lift gates, pallet drops with a manual pallet jack
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate required as applicable.
- Valid Class A CDL with a safe driving record.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service requirements, and vehicle safety procedures.
- Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation.
- Experience safely operating tractor-trailers in a professional environment.
- Strong communication skills, time management, and commitment to customer service.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while safely operating a commercial vehicle.
- Ability to enter and exit the tractor and trailer multiple times throughout the workday.
- Ability to secure freight and handle cargo when required by the assignment.
- Ability to perform DOT-required vehicle inspections and work safely in changing weather conditions.
