The Fabrication Associate/Warehouse team member is a full-time, on-site role based in Bloomfield, CT. This role is responsible for assisting with the fabrication of sprinkler system components, including measuring, cutting, threading, and assembling pipe and fittings according to work orders and specifications. Daily tasks include organizing and staging materials, pulling and preparing orders, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse and fabrication area.
The position operates basic fabrication and material-handling equipment, follows safety protocols, and conducts routine inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels. The role may also assist field teams by preparing job-specific material packages and coordinating with supervisors to meet project timelines.
- Ability to safely use basic fabrication tools and equipment (e.g., saws, threading machines, hand tools) and follow written work orders or shop drawings.
- General warehouse skills, including material handling, order picking, packing, staging, and safe operation of pallet jacks or forklifts (or willingness to be trained).
- Strong attention to detail with basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying materials and inventory.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, standing, and moving materials throughout the shift in a warehouse/fabrication environment.
- Commitment to safety, including following company safety procedures, using required personal protective equipment, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with reliability in attendance and the ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience in fabrication, construction, fire protection, or warehouse operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Bloomfield, CT location are beneficial.
