Validation / Performance Testing Engineer

Auburn Hills, Michigan

• Support vehicle integration team ensuring fleet has up-to-date software and hardware and can collect necessary data.
• Provide mule vehicle support and resolve mule issues.
• Manage connected services, vehicle access, start, and security features for the platform, ensuring customer voice is met on all vehicle milestones.
• Ensure vehicle functional objectives are achieved and recommend actions to product team; conduct reviews of functional systems, CFD analysis, development test planning with lab engineers, and over-the-road test trip execution for assigned programs.
• Lead communications and reporting of issues, including status updates and driving issue resolution.
• Plan and track vehicle validation actively, support systems under responsibility and produce Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) test and reporting.
• Interact with exterior styling studio members as required.
• Develop NVH functional objective targets, test plan and validation with support from Test Engineers and Performance Specialists.

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace) from an ABET accredited university.
• Hands‑on background in vehicle‑level testing; able to interface with multiple groups within the company.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Leadership experience managing suppliers.
• Travel required to suppliers and corporate engine/transmission/vehicle assembly plants (including Canada & Mexico), off‑site testing facilities, and domestic press events.
• Green/black belt in Shainin or DFSS desirable.
• Basic knowledge of Team Center, NX and Vis Professional.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; required to drive company vehicles.
• High level of proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
