Vehicle Quality Analyst

Job Description
The Body, Chassis, Interior (BCI) Quality Team is seeking a Vehicle Quality Analyst to support achievement of project quality targets, manage launch timelines and deliverables, and ensure a smooth transition into volume production with high-quality standards.
The role focuses on geometric quality assurance, issue resolution, cross-functional coordination, and validation of vehicle interior/exterior fit and finish during the industrialization phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate product and process design at the geometric level, including management of Quality Assurance Fixtures
- Support development of geometric monitoring plans for assembly lines
- Drive convergence of geometric quality during industrialization prior to volume production
- Identify, track, and report component and assembly quality issues and support resolution with engineering and manufacturing teams
- Perform dimensional data analysis and resolve interior fit and finish concerns
- Define and implement pilot actions for quality issues and ensure closure to meet BCI KPIs
- Prepare and deliver presentations using Excel and PowerPoint with strong communication skills
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including HMI, Corporate Quality, Supplier Quality, and Perceived Quality
- 3–5 years of automotive experience in Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, or Product Quality
- Strong knowledge of APQP/PPAP and Supplier Quality processes
- Experience with statistical data analysis, metrology, and Root Cause Analysis
- Understanding of defect resolution, escalation processes, and corrective action tracking
- Knowledge of vehicle design, assembly processes, tooling, and plant operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent Engineering discipline (Materials, Chemical, Civil, Aerospace) from an ABET-accredited university
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and drive issue resolution plans
- Self-motivated with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Strong understanding of process control and statistical analysis
